Location Guidance
Locate base unit near 120v AC outlet
Consider placement of antenna when choosing mounting location. Mesh antenna must be within line of sight to first set of valves or relay
Included antenna cable is 4.5m long
Parts
1 x Base enclosure
2 x WiFi antennas
1 x cellular antenna (directional)
1 x mesh antenna
1 x LMR240 coaxial cable (may not be required)
Final Assembly and Installation Process
Step 1. Install antennas according to Image A below. If the enclosure itself has line of sight to the closest devices, the coaxial cable for the mesh antenna (center) may not be necessary (see Image B)

Step 2. Plug the power cord into the AC outlet. Verify that the power light on the front door of the enclosure illuminates
Step 3. Open the enclosure (using the lock combination labeled on the front of the base unit) and press the power button on the underside of the main PCB one time. The internal LEDs should illuminate
Note, base units only need to be powered on using the button once after shipping. They will automatically reboot in the event of a power outage
Step 4. Close and lock the enclosure. Remove the green tape with lock combo and discard
Step 5. Use the Installation tool in the Ops Center to configure the base and other devices. Follow the steps as indicated in the Ops Center
Note: When configuring the network in step 2 of the Installation tool, scan the barcode for the router Serial ID, located on the back of the base enclosure
Step 6. In the Ops Center, under Management tools, navigate to Farms. On the Farm page, click on the Installation History
Step 7. In the Installation History, click to reveal the farm WiFi SSID and Password
Step 8. Use the WiFi network credentials to log into the network on a mobile device or computer. Open a speed test app like Ookla
Step 9. Hold the cellular antenna (large rectangular box) in its relative installation position. Face the front of the antenna toward different directions (north, south, east, west, etc.). In each direction, run a speed test. The direction with the fastest upload and download speeds is the direction in which the antenna should be mounted (the cellular antenna is directional, not omnidirectional, so its orientation matters)
Tip: cell towers are often located along major roadways. Start by pointing the antenna toward a major road
Step 10. Disconnect your device from the WiFi network
Step 11. Use the included mounting bracket to install the cellular antenna
Step 12. In the Ops Center, under Management tools, navigate to Devices. Select the Farm you are installing and verify that the base unit status is “Online”
Step 13. Use the included mounting brackets to mount the base enclosure to a panel, wall, or other viable space
