Equipment
1 box of 2” wetware (there are two wetware valves in each box, but you’ll only be working with one at a time)
Wetware filter (there are also two of these in each box, one for each valve)
Teflon tape
Small adjustable wrench
Filter Prep
Open the box of 2” wetware and take out one valve
Locate one (1) of the two (2) small filters in the box
On the threaded portion of the small filter, above the metal and below the 90 degree angle, wrap the Teflon tape around three (3) times in a clockwise direction
A good technique is to hold the filter piece at the 90 degree elbow and use your thumb to hold the end of the Teflon tape down on the threaded area.
Assembly Steps
Grab the wetware with arrow side away from you
Place the teflon-wrapped filter into the small hole near the bottom of the wetware
Hand tighten the filter by twisting it clockwise, then use your adjustable wrench to tighten ¼ turn
Repeat the previous steps with the second filter and wetware piece
