Button Functions

All Lumo devices have two accessible buttons: the power button (on the underside of the dome) and the control button (on the top side of the dome between the two LEDs).

Power On / Off

  • The power button is located on the underside of the dome (for 2" valves, dome must be removed from wetware to access power button)

  • Press the power button once to power on or off (hold for 1 second)

Wake Up from Sleep

  • Press the control button once

  • Both LEDs will flash white

  1. Press the control button once to wake the device

  2. Press and hold the control button for 5 full seconds (solid blue 🔵 appears) until the blue LED starts blinking

  3. When the blue LED starts blinking, release within 5 seconds

  4. The valve will open (blinking green 🟢) or close (LED off)

Factory Reset

⚠️ Warning: factory reset erases all provisioned configuration (Wi-Fi / Mesh, device mode). Only perform a factory reset if instructed by Lumo Support.

  1. Press and hold control button for 20 seconds

  2. Both LEDs begin rapidly blinking 🔴

  3. Release the button

  4. Press the button twice within 8 seconds

  5. Valve closes

  6. Device reboots with both LEDs flashing ⚪

  7. Status LED reverts to ⚪ (Factory mode)

Important System Behaviors

  • Base units always operate in Standard Mode (they do not enter "Always On" mode).

  • When battery level falls below 30%, manual and scheduled valve openings are disabled.
