Blocks: Irrigation History & Performance

The Blocks page gives you a visual overview of irrigation performance across all your blocks. For any block, over any time period, you can see how much water was delivered each day.

Navigating to the Blocks Page

Select Blocks from the left-hand navigation menu. The page displays all blocks across your farms, or filtered by farm.

Filtering and Date Range

At the top of the page, you can:

  • Filter by Farm — Use the farm dropdown to focus on a specific farm or view all farms at once.

  • Toggle volume units — Switch between total volume and per-plant volume.

  • Select a date range — Choose from presets (This Week, Last Week, Last 2 Weeks, This Month) or pick a custom range using the calendar picker. All charts and stats update to reflect the selected timeframe.

Block Accordions

Each block appears as a collapsible row. In the collapsed view, you can see at a glance:

  • Block name and farm name

  • Irrigation count — completed and remaining irrigations in the selected date range

  • Total gallons — total volume delivered during the timeframe

Time-Series Chart

Expanding a block reveals an interactive chart with up to four data series:

  • Gallons per Plant (blue bars) — Water delivered per plant on each irrigation day, giving you a day-by-day view of volume.

  • Actual Flow Rate (gold line) — Average actual flow rate (GPM) observed during each irrigation. Useful for spotting flow anomalies.

  • Expected Flow Rate (brown dashed line) — The theoretical or Smart Baseline flow rate for the block. Compare to actual to understand deviations.

  • % Field Capacity (dark line, right axis) — If soil moisture sensors are installed and integrated with Lumo, this shows average soil moisture as a percentage of field capacity, so you can see how irrigations affect soil moisture over time.

You can toggle each data series on or off by clicking its label in the legend below the chart — helpful when you want to focus on just one or two metrics.

Tips for Getting the Most Out of the Blocks Page

Use custom date ranges for seasonal reviews. Set the range to cover a full growing season for long-term trends, or narrow it to a single week to investigate a specific event.

Compare blocks side-by-side. Expand multiple blocks to compare charts and Precision Scores — this helps identify which blocks are performing well and which need attention.

Correlate irrigation with soil moisture. If you have soil sensors, watch the % Field Capacity line to see how soil moisture responds after each irrigation, and use it to fine-tune timing and volume.

Use this alongside Flow Vision. The Blocks page shows aggregate trends over a date range. For a deep dive into a specific irrigation's minute-by-minute flow data, use Flow Vision from the Activity page.
