LED Indicators

What the lights indicate on the valve

Updated over 4 months ago

The Lumo valve has two LED indicators, visible from the top side of the green dome, located on either side of the Control Button.

Valve Status vs. Connectivity Status

As pictured below, the left-hand LED is the Valve Status LED, which indicates whether the valve is open or closed.

The right-hand LED is the Connectivity Status LED, which indicates if the valve is connected to the WiFi network and its current state (syncing, sleeping, off, etc).

When the Connectivity Status LED illuminates green, the device is in Standard Mode, the normal operating mode for devices in the field. In this mode, devices send and receive data every two minutes.

VALVE STATUS INDICATORS

CONNECTIVITY STATUS INDICATORS

Not Illuminated

Valve is closed

Solid Green

Device is syncing with the network

Blink Green (every second)

Valve is open

Slow Pulse Green

Device is sleeping between sync cycles

Solid Red

Device has received a schedule but will remain closed due to low battery

Flash Green (rapid)

Device is attempting to connect to the WiFi network

Blink Red (3 times every second)

User has attempted to open the valve in manual mode (i.e. using the Control Button), but the valve will remain closed due to low battery

Not Illuminated

Device is powered off or has 0% battery

Control Button

When the Control Button is pressed, the Valve Status LED will illuminate blue to confirm that the device is responsive. If the LED does not illuminate blue when the button is pressed, the device may require troubleshooting.

When using Manual Mode, the Valve Status LED will flash blue once the Control Button has been held for 5 seconds to open or close the valve.

Reboot

When the valve powers up or reboots, both LEDs will blink white, then the Connectivity Status LED will flash to indicate that the valve is searching for the WiFi network. The LED will become solid once the valve has connected to the network.
