Placement of the Spacer for the Lumo Valve
The Lumo valve should be located on the outflow side of the manifold, downstream of any manual ball valves and pressure regulating valves
For accurate flow measurement, the Lumo valve should be positioned ideally 7 inches, or at least 3 inches, from any elbow or T fitting. Lumo’s flow sensor accuracy is dependent on straight flow of water through the valve
The Lumo spacer may be installed in any orientation (horizontal or vertical)
Best Practices for Spacer Installation
The PVC cuts should to be 7 ½ inches apart
Cleanliness is key for optimal glue adhesion
Remove excess glue
Ensure the o-rings are flat and secure in groove
Hand tighten the unions, then use a strap wrench to tighten 1/4 turn
To ensure the glue sets, do not run water for 24 hours
